Shopify - Discounts
This feature requires additional licensing. Please contact AcctVantage Sales for a quote.
When importing Shopify Orders, AcctVantage can import two types of discounts -- Order-wide discounts or Line Item discounts.
Order-wide discounts
The discount amount will be imported using the non-inventory Default Discount Part Number (from the Order Settings in System Setup). The discount name will populate in the Line Memo field.
Order-wide discount in Shopify
A discount named "TEST" was added to the entire Shopify Order resulting in a $6.30 discount.
Order-wide discount in AcctVantage
The discount was included on the imported order as a non-inventory line item using the Default Discount Part Number. The discount name was included in the Memo field.
Line item discounts
The line item will be imported using the discounted price. The discount name will not appear in AcctVantage.
Line item discount in Shopify
A discount was added to one line item of a Shopify Order resulting in a $1.05 discount which reduced the sell price from $21.00 to $19.95.
Line item discount in AcctVantage
The discount was reflected on the imported order by using the new (discounted) sell price of $19.95. Neither the original price nor the discount name are displayed.
