Tax API - Communication Log

This feature requires additional licensing. Please contact AcctVantage Sales for a quote.

AcctVantage will maintain a log of all communication with the Tax API for 30 days.

These logs are not necessary to review on a regular basis (although you can if you want to!) However, they can be very helpful in diagnosing any unexpected issues that occur.

The Tax API Communication Logs are accessed by going to Administration > Web Integrations Logs.

Use the Filter By menu to select either AvaTax or HTTP Request (for TaxCloud logs) and then click Find.

Each log entry contains the full request and response for each communication with the Tax API.

The log is in JSON format. If you have an issue with sales tax calculated via the API, sometimes AV Support will ask for a copy of the log in order to diagnose the issue.

Click the ✏️ pencil icon and you will be able to copy & paste the log text into a support ticket (email: [email protected]).
