AcctVantage ERP Client Install Instructions (macOS)

These instructions describe the process to install the AcctVantage ERP Client Application.

Download the Installer
You will first need to download the AV Client installer (if you haven't done so already).
Install Instructions
Depending on which version of macOS you are using, you might see an alert about installing Rosetta. This is currently required in order to run AV 2025 on newer versions of macOS.
Double-click the DMG file to open it and then double-click the PKG file to run the installer.
Click Continue to proceed.
Leave the install location as the default location and click Continue to proceed.
Click Install to complete the installation.
- You may need to enter the password you use to log into macOS to install (this is NOT your AcctVantage password).
- If you are upgrading your AV Client from a previous version, you may see a message asking if you want to overwrite the files. You are safe to proceed here.
- If you want to preserve the old AV Client, you will need to rename the folder prior to running the new installer.
Installation is in progress. This part of the process could take a couple minutes.
Installation Completed!
Click Close to exit the installer. Now you can launch the AV Client and connect to the AV Server.
Launch the AV Client and connect to the AV Server
Navigate to the Applications folder and find the AcctVantage ERP Client application. Double-click it to connect to the AV server.
Since this is the first time this version of the AV client is connecting to the server, you will see some "synchronizing" and "decompressing" progress bars. This is normal and should only occur the first time you launch the client.
Client connection issues
If the client fails to connect to the server, please quit the client then follow THESE INSTRUCTIONS.
