Deactivate a User

If you have a user who no longer needs access to AcctVantage, you can deactivate the user and they will not be able to log in.

It is not necessary to change the user's password or delete the user's AV Client application from their computer (although, both of those things could also prevent the user from logging in.) Deactivating the user record is the best practice.

Revoke the user's login access

  1. Navigate to Administration -> User Access Levels.
  2. Open the User record.
  3. Check the Revoke Access setting and click OK to save.

If the user attempts to log in with their username and password, the system will pop up an alert notifying the user they no longer have access to the system.
