Using Two AcctVantage Clients on One Computer
This tech note details how to use two AcctVantage Clients to connect to a single instance of the AcctVantage Server. This is useful if your company is running a Multi-Company database and you have users who want to log into each company concurrently.
- Install the AcctVantage Client application.
- Make a copy of the AcctVantage ERP Client folder and paste it next to the original folder.
- Rename each copy of the AcctVantage ERP Client folder with unique names.

- Rename each AV 2019 Client application to coincide with the folder name.

- AV 2019 Client 1
- AV 2019 Client 2

- Next to each AV 2019 Client application, create a new folder named: clientlocal
- See the yellow highlights in the example below.
- These folders should NOT be named uniquely for each client.
- In Windows OS, you might need to change the security permissions of the clientlocal folder.
- Launch each AV Client and connect to the AV Server.
Mac OS examples
When you connect to the AV Server for the first time with each AV Client, the system will populate the clientlocal folder with various resources from the server. You will know this was successful when you see the folder is no longer empty such as below.
