Launch the AV Client application and immediately press & hold the option key (macOS) or alt key (Windows OS) until you see the Connection to 4D Server window.

The system will take you to the Available tab in the Connection to 4D Server window. In most cases you will only see one server to connect to. Select your server from the list here but do not log in yet. Click on the Custom tab next.

After selecting the Custom tab, you should see the Server Name and Network Address already populated. Check the box Force the update of the local resources and click OK.

When you click OK, the system will update some of the files on the client side. You might see some progress bars indicating this and it could take a minute or so.

After the update routine is finished, you'll be presented with the log in dialog. Now it's time to log in!
