Force Update of Local Resources

1. Open the AV Client (but don't log in)

Launch the AV Client application as you normally would but do not enter your user name and password. Instead, click Cancel. This will drop you into a dialog where you will select the server to connect to.

2. Select the AV server to connect to

The system will take you to the Available tab in the Connection to 4D Server window. In most cases you will only see one server to connect to. Select your server from the list here but do not log in yet. Click on the Custom tab next.

3. Force update of local resources

After selecting the Custom tab, you should see the Server Name and Network Address already populated. Check the box Force the update of the local resources and click OK.

When you click OK, the system will update some of the files on the client side. You might see some progress bars indicating this and it may take a few minutes.

4. Log in to AcctVantage.

After the update routine is finished, you'll be presented with the log in dialog. Now it's time to log in!
