Warehouse Transfers - Automatic
The Auto Warehouse Transfer function evaluates stock levels in a selected From Warehouse and To Warehouse and attempts to balance the on-hand inventory according to established Minimum & Maximum stock levels.
- A transfer will be auto-created for items overstocked in one warehouse and understocked in another warehouse.
- The transfer may be manually edited prior to shipping.

Setup: enter minimum and maximum stock levels
To take advantage of this function, you'll need to enter minimum and maximum stock levels for each product that you want to be eligible for auto-warehouse transfers.
- Navigate to Warehouse Management ➤ Products.
- Open an existing product record and click on the Inventory tab.
- Enter the minimum stock and maximum stock levels.
Run the Balance Inventory between warehouses utility
- In the Product list view, highlight the Product(s) that you want to transfer.
- Open the Action Menu and select Balance inventory between warehouses.
- Click Yes to proceed with the warehouse transfer.
- Highlight the FROM warehouse and click Select.
- Highlight the TO warehouse and click Select.
When the transfer is complete, the system will display a log of the activity that occurred. If the transfer was unnecessary or there was an error, the log will display the details.
- From this point you will complete the Warehouse Transfer as usual. Enter the Picked, Shipped and Received dates (along with any other relevant data).
- The Memo references contains a note that this transaction was created by the Warehouse Balance Feature, the date and the user who created the transfer.
- The warehouse transfer can be edited if there are additional items to add (or remove).
