How to change the network layer

4D v21 introduces a new network layer called QUIC. This network layer offers better overall stability and includes seamless network-switching, which means clients will not disconnect when switching from ethernet to wifi or vice-versa.

  1. On the server hardware, open the Server Administration window. This window will most likely already be open but if it's not, open it by selecting the Window menu ➤ Administration.
  2. Go to the File menu ➤ Settings ➤ User Settings for Data file.

  2. Change the Network layer to QUIC.
