Inventory Shortages Export
This article assumes you have already set up the Inventory Shortages functionality of AcctVantage.
1. Open the Inventory Shortages screen
Navigate to Purchasing > Inventory Shortages and select the Data Source(s).
2. Export the Inventory Shortages data
At the bottom of the Inventory Shortages window, click the Export button. Select a save destination for the export file.
3. Export is complete
The exported file will be a tab-delimited text file, which will contain the exact same rows and columns that you see in the Inventory Shortages window.
You can open this file in your favorite spreadsheet program.
3.1. Example: Open the file in Excel
The export file is a tab-delimited text file. You can open it in Excel by going to Data -> From Text, set the delimiter to Tab and then open the file.
These instructions may vary depending on the version of Excel.
